We had a wonderful visit last night, with him awake and acting more and more like a newborn (he's been sedated, so we've not seen much but sleep, sleep, and more sleep).
We're so thankful that he continues to improve, but I have to tell you...the more he does, the harder it gets to leave him there. With every visit, I get a bigger taste if what I am missing, and my heart breaks a little more.
Still, I'm so thankful that he's in such great hands. And I am filled with anticipation for the day we bring him home. Still no word on when that will be. But until then, I will continue to daydream about having him in my arms.
Thank you to everyone who has commented, called, texted, emailed, and visited. We are so blessed to have you on this journey with us.
I will continue to update as I know more. And next week, we're getting back to some fun family projects (a little normalcy that I am looking forward to.)
Love to you all.
